Practice Director
Founded in 1969, FIND/SVP, Inc. is a knowledge services company that offers a full suite of custom business intelligence, advisory, and consulting solutions to address clients' critical business issues. We are looking for an experienced leader to join our recently restructured Business Information Center . The newly created position of Practice Director is an interesting and unusual combination of consulting and leadership, offering the incumbent an opportunity to use both their management as well as direct client consulting skills. We are open to a range of different skills and experiences. Typical backgrounds might include advertising/PR agency, information centers, and/or small business/consulting firms.
This position requires a balanced mix of leadership skills and organizational abilities. The successful candidate will be creative and analytical, while also providing motivation and guidance to a seasoned team of researchers and writers. An entrepreneurial spirit and drive for quality along with the ability to select, build and direct a great team will enable the individual to retain and ensure client satisfaction successfully.
You should have a Bachelor's degree, masters preferred; a minimum of 5+ years' experience with at least 2 being supervisory; exceptional research skills particularly s econdary research methodology and sourcing, expertise in searching the business databases of DIALOG , Factiva and/or LexisNexis; strong customer service orientation; computer proficiency; exceptional written and oral communication skills and a proven leadership track record.
